Sebha, 26 February 2018 (Lana) Chairman of the General
Secretariat of Libya Elderly Council. Ayub Al Shara has warned
against what he called the agendas that endeavour to make demographic
change in southern Libya and involving its tribes in conflicts that
could undermine unity of the country.
In press statements Al Shara expressed regrets over complete
state absence in the south including the GNA, Provisional Government
and the House of Representatives.
He stressed that the General Secretariat of the Libyan Elderly
Council follows up with concern developments of the conflict between
the Tabu and Awlad Suliman tribes.
Al Shara underscored that what is witnessed by cities of southern
Libya of continuous conflict requires immediate intervention to
implement provisions of all agreements signed before between the
tribes in the region and stopping conflicts there.
