Chinese Ambassador: Political Agreement Only Framework to Resolve Crisis in Libya.

Tripoli, 20 February 2018(Lana) The President of the High State Council Abdul Rahman Al Sweihli discussed with Chinese Ambassador Li Zeghou bilateral relations and political developments in Libya. The Ambassador affirmed his country's support for amendment of the Political Agreement as the only framework for solving the crisis and restore stability and security in Libya. My country as a member of the UN Security Council supports the UN plan in Libya under the supervision of the Special Envoy Ghasan Salama, He praised what he called improvement of the security situation which encourages Chinese companies to return to complete unfinished projects in the country. On his part Al Sweihli praised the Chinese support for the Political Agreement, saying the HSC was open to all parties, opts for reconciliation and rejected infighting. He called for an expedited return of the Chinese embassy to work with full staff from the capital to inspire other diplomatic missions. =Lana=
