GNA Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Meets Officials at UN Humanitarian Affairs Coordination Office.

Tripoli, 14 February 2018(Lana) The GNA Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Lutfi Al Mogherbi on Wednesday met a UN delegation including the Director of Operations at the UN Humanitarian Affairs Coordination Office John jing and the Deputy UN Secretary General Special Envoy to Libya Maria Romeiro. The Undersecretary said the Jing had told him that he was assigned by the UN Secretary General to work with Libya to improve conditions for the displaced and migrants. The selection of Libya as Deputy President of the African Union at the latest African Union summit in Addis Ababa was a prove that what had been circulating over Mistreatment of migrants in Libya was utterly unfounded. 'We take every opportunity to meet officials from the UN and other countries to explain to them the attention that Libya was giving to migrants in accordance with its resources, the Undersecretary said. 'The Undersecretary said Libya was seeking to clarify the confusion, especially in the media, regarding Libya, reaffirming that Libya would continue to do what it can and with the resources it has to offer the assistance for those who needed it. =Lana=
