Algerian Renews Support for UN Efforts in Libya.

Algiers, 27 August 2017(Lana) Algerian Foreign Minister Abdul
Gader Msahel has renewed his country's support for Libya, considering
the task of Ghassan Salam the UN Special Envoy to Libya 'not easy at
this point.
'We have discussed the situation in Libya and the plan of the UN
Envoy to bring about a political solution to the crisis, Msahel said
following a meeting here with the UN Envoy.
According to the Chinese News agency Xinhua, the Algerian
Minister renewed his country's support for the UN Effort , expressing
hope that the Political Agreement , signed by Libyan parties in Al
Sukheirat in December 2015 enter into force in the coming weeks.
Msahel said he discussed with the UN Envoy role of Libya's
neighboring countries in support of the UN Envoy to push for a
solution in Libya.
On his part Salama highlighted the importance of the Algerian
role in respect of the crisis in Libyan, given the long border it
shares with Libya and the historical links between the two countries.
