President of HSC meets UN envoy to Libya.

Tripoli, 26 April 2017 (Lana) President of High State Council, Dr Abdurrahman Aswihli met Tuesday with head of UNSMIL, Martin Kobler and his accompanying delegation in the presence of first and second deputy presidents in Tripoli. The meeting focused on the outcome of the meeting of President of High State Council and President of the House of Representatives in Rome last Friday, and practical steps to start negotiations directly between the High State Council and House of Representatives to address obstacles facing the political accord and introduce the necessary amendments according to the mechanism identified in its provisions. HSC President expressed his grave concern over squandering of time in discussing marginal details regarding the mechanism to introduce the amendments which were clearly defined. He urged UNSMIL to abide by the text of the political accord and play its role in facilitating negotiations between the High State Council and the representatives and support its outcomes and identify the parties hindering negotiations. =Lana=
