Pulbished on:
Tripoli, 9 January 2107(Lana)Austrian Foreign Minister Sebastian
Kortes has said there was a dire need for cooperation with Libya to
curb down the flow of refugees to Europe.
Following a different approach from the current could help stop
or curb the arrival of refugees to Europe, Kortes said in statement
published here on Wednesday.
'Refugees are not Libyan nationals, but use Libyan territory as a
transit point to cross the Mediterranean for Europe, Kortes said,
noting that closing the Balkan road and cooperation with Turkey led
to decline of flow of refugees by 98%, while the number of refugees
arriving in Italy mostly Africans increased by 20%, he said.
