Tripoli, 19.10.2016(Lana) The 9th meeting of Libya's neighbouring
countries is to convene in Niamey Niger Wednesday with the
participation of Vice President of the Presidency Council, Musa Kuni.
Head of UNSMIL, Martin Kobler besides former Tanzanian
President, the special envoy to the AU, Jako Kikoti and Arab League
Secretary general.
The meeting is expected to discuss political and security
developments in Libya as well as political accord tracks and efforts
made at local, regional and international levels to settle the Libyan
crisis based on political accord, besides renewing support to the
\presidency Council and the GNA and support of Libyan unity and
sovereignty in line with dialogue and national reconciliation.
The meeting will also discuss illegal immigration, drug
trafficking, organized crime, and mechanisms and plans to stop its
expansion.
The 8th meeting was held in Tunis last march in the presence of
President of the Presidency Council, Fayez Saraj and participation of
foreign ministers of Egypt, Sudan, Algeria, Chad, Niger. The final
statement of the 8th meeting support to the political accord and
rejecting foreign intervention in the internal affairs of Libya.
