Italy to study seriously and Libyan request for help.

Rome, 17.08.2016(Lana) Italian Foreign Minister, Paolo Gentiloni
said his country is ready to seriously look into any official request
by the Government of National Accord to help her set up regular
security forces.
In a press statement, the Italian official said; " We would study
seriously any likely Libyan requests to help them set up security
forces starting from the presidential guard we can start to move
towards forming regular units and army'.
He confirmed that Italy carries out no combat missions in Libya
and its role is limited to allowing the USA use its airbases.
Gentiloni explained that Italian policies in Libya focuses on
support of the Government of National Accord and help the Libyans
reach a consensus and safeguard a unified international stance on
Libya.
"Priority for Italy is achieving stability in Libya to stop waves
of illegal migrants into the Italian coast' he added.
