The Guardian: Cost of Conflict in Libya Reached $578 Billion.

London, 3 January 2021(Lana) The Guardian newspaper reported that the UN intended to send observers to Libya to oversee the cease-fire in the country. This is the first time that the international organization takes active steps on the ground to enforce a ceasefire. In its report, the newspaper said the cease-fire reached in 23 October in Geneva is about to collapse, especially that the UN special envoy, Stephaney Williams revealed that there are 20,000 soldier or foreign mercenaries in the country, as the cost of conflict in the country since 2011 amounted to 578 billion.... Moscow, 31 December 2020(Lana) Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavarov has called for support for the ceasefire in Libya, by backing the Military Committee 5+5, and called on the UN Secretary General to fill the UN Special Representative post vacancy. NDCC Records 342 New CoronaVirus Infections.

Tripoli, 31 December 2020(Lana) - The National Disease Control Centre (NDCC) has issued a daily CoronaVirus update in Libya for Wednesday Dec.30. The NDCC said it received 2868 samples for PCR testing, 2526 have turned out to be negative, and 342 positive. The NDCC Communication Committee said the Centre has recorded 834 recoveries and 19 deaths in the last 24 hours.
