The call came against the backdrop of the shelling of Al Fernaj neighbourhood in Tripoli on Monday. EU: Escalating Violence in Libya Led to Higher Casualty Toll Among Civilians.

Tripoli, 16 October 2019(Lana) The European Union on Tuesday called for an immediate halt of the fighting in Libya and a return to the UN-led political talks. 'The escalating violence in Libya is behind the rise in the number of casualties among civilians , the EU said in a statement, indicating that after a year and a half the situation continues to deteriorate. Afriqqiyah to Resume Flights Between Misrata and Amman.

Tripoli, 16 October 2019(Lana) Afriqqiyah Airways has said it was planning to resume flights between Misrata and Amman as of October 28.
