GNA Minister of Economy: Agreement Concluded With 6 Commercial Banks to Provide Loans to Youth.

Tripoli, 29 December 2019(Lana) GNA Minister of Economy Fouzi Al Isawi has said that the Ministry would sign, in the new year, an agreement with 6 commercial banks, to provide loans to the youth 50% of which guaranteed by the state. In press remarks, Al Isawi said the Ministry was in the process of activating an anti-trust law which was un-activated since 2010. Libyan Red Crescent Appeals for Help for the Displaced.

Tarhouna, 29 December 2019(Lana) The Libyan Red Crescent Society has appealed to Public and private organisations and good doers to donate to displaced families facing winter harsh conditions. The Head of the Red Crescent Society Khalil Omran said the society was suffering shortages in medicine and other stuff needed by the displaced people, indicating that there were more than 1000 displaced people suffering different types of chronic diseases, and the total number of the displaced in Tarhouna were 7000 families. =... Ghat Folklore Festival Postponed.

Tripoli, 29 December 2019(Lana) The Ghat Folklore Festival organizing committee has announced that the festival 25th session which was due kick off on Saturday has been postponed. In view of the current circumstances in the country which prevented conducting the festival on its original time, the committee decided to postpone the event until January 2020. The committee said it deplored the measures, and wanted to apologize to all those concerned including civil society organisations, participating folklore groups, clubs and exhibitions for postponement. =... Tripoli, 29 December 2019(Lana) Chairman of the Board of the National Oil Company Mustafa Sun'allah has warned against fighting spreading to the Al Zawiyah refinery. EU Foreign Affairs Official Heads Delegation to Libya on Jan.

Brussels, 29 December 2019(Lana) EU High Representative of Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell said he will, along with a number of European Ministers, visit Libya on January 7 to meet Libyan leaders.
