Rome : 06. 6 . 2015 - Lana - Italian Coast Guards declared Saturday that its forces had rescued thousands of immigrants who were on board wooden boats in the Mediterranean. Immigrants Assistance Station, which is non-governmental organization, said that more than ( 2000 ) immigrants on board ( 5 ) wooden boats in the Mediterranean . The station coordinated a rescue operation with Italian , Irish and German ships in rescuing those immigrants boarding crowded boats .
