IOM: Migrants in Detention Centres in Libya Are Most Vulnerable to Infectious Disease.

Tripoli, 19 October 2020(Lana) The International Organisation of Migration has said that migrants in detention centres in Libya are the most vulnerable to infectious diseases like Covid 19 because of overcrowding and poor conditions. In a statement it issued on Saturday, IOM said it had offered training on infection prevention control IPC and management of Covid 19 infected people to 25 providers at detention centres in Tripoli, Al Zawiyah, Zwara, and Dhaher Al Jabal to help prevent a spread of infectious diseases. Brussels, The EU on Saturday disclosed that Libyan personalities have been placed under travel ban, while the assets of others and entities have been frozen.
