Signing a MoU between the Quality Assurance Center at the Ministry of Labor and the National Council for Training and Education of Egypt.

Cairo, 21 April 2025 (Lana) The Center for Quality Assurance and Vocational Standardization at the Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation and the National Council for Training and Education of Egypt signed a memorandum of understanding yesterday.

The signing ceremony, which was held on the sidelines of the 51st session of the Arab Labor Conference, was attended by the Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation, Ali Al-Abed; the Libyan Ambassador to the League of Arab States; the Undersecretary General of the Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation; the Head of the General Federation of Civil Society Organizations in Egypt; and the Vice President of the National Council for Training and Education, Dr. Talaat Abdul Qawi, along with a number of officials from both sides.

The agreement aims to strengthen joint cooperation in the areas of institutional and programmatic accreditation, improve the quality of training, and grant professional competency certificates in accordance with international standards, including the application of ISO in the vocational training sector in Libya.

In his remark, Al-Abed emphasized that this step represents the beginning of the implementation of a national plan towards international accreditation, commending the experience of Egypt as a successful model in the area of quality and accreditation.

He explained that the agreement represents a historic moment in the development of the Libyan training sector, revealing that the center has already begun implementing five international standard specifications within the accreditation project.

For his part, Talaat Abdel Qawi expressed his happiness with the partnership with the Quality Assurance Center, stressing the importance of Arab cooperation in the areas of human development and vocational training.
