Benghazi, April 18, 2024 (LANA) - First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Fawzi Al-Nuwairi, considered the repeated resignations of illiterate envoys, the most recent of which was the resignation of Abdullah Batili, an indication of the failure of the international community to address the Libyan crisis.

In a statement, Al-Nuwairi called on Libyans from all walks of life, “politicians, security personnel, and citizens,” to bear the responsibility of resolving the crisis themselves, away from external interference, stressing the need to address the political crisis with national solutions.

Al-Nuwairi pointed out that the severity of external interference and the lack of credibility of the international community necessitate the Libyans to take the initiative and address the challenges that hinder building their present and future.

Al-Nuwairi urged the national reconciliation file to be moved in a responsible and serious manner, so that it is not too late, and the importance of relying on the state’s professional security institutions more than ever before, to confront the risks that threaten the country’s security, calling on all Libyans to divest themselves of personal, sectarian, and regional interests, and the tendency to take sincere national steps.
