Al-Koni meets the Director-General of the World Health Organization in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi.
Pulbished on:Nairobi, March 1, 2024 (LANA) - The Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Ghebreyesus, confirmed today, Friday, the organization’s continued support for Libya’s efforts to raise the efficiency of the health system and qualify its workers in their various specializations to ensure access to health services and medical care for citizens in various Libyan cities.
This came during a meeting with the representative of the Presidential Council, Musa Al-Koni, in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi.
The Media and Communication Office of the Libyan Presidential Council stated that Al-Koni stressed during the meeting the need for the organization to support Libyan efforts that provide medical services to displaced people from neighboring countries suffering from instability.
He stressed the need to benefit from the organization’s experience in this field, praising the organization’s efforts to strengthen the health system in all countries of the world.
During the meeting, Al-Koni extended to the Director-General of the Organization an invitation to visit Libya in a step aimed at enhancing the prospects for cooperation between Libya and the World Health Organization.
