(Al-Dabaiba): Guinea-Bissau and the African Union countries support the efforts made to hold the Libyan elections.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, February 29, 2024 (LANA) - The President of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, Omar Al-Mukhtar Sisko, affirmed his desire to consolidate Libyan-Guinean relations, praising the state of stability that Libya is experiencing.
This came during a reception by the Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, Abdel Hamid Dabaiba, this Thursday morning in the capital, Tripoli, according to the Prime Minister’s Media Office.
During the meeting, which was attended by the Chief of General Staff, who is in charge of running the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministers of State for Cabinet Affairs, Communication and Political Affairs, the Guinean President renewed his country’s and the African Union’s support for the efforts made to hold the Libyan elections.
For his part, “Dabaiba” welcomed the Guinean President and his accompanying delegation, and praised the bonds of relationship and cooperation that have existed for decades, stressing the necessity of activating the common files between the two countries, and the harmony of the African Union and the countries of the Sahel-Saharan Community with international efforts to end the transitional stages in Libya to reach elections, according to the media office.
