Tripoli, February 26, 2024 (LANA) - Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation, Ali Al-Abed Al-Rida, discussed with the Philippine Deputy Secretary of Labor for Employment Affairs, Levinson Alcantara, the latest developments in the conditions of Filipino workers working in Libya.

  This came during a meeting held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Labor in Tripoli, in the presence of representatives of the Ministries of Oil, Health, and Foreign Affairs, the National Oil Corporation, the Chargé d'Affairs of the Philippine Embassy in Libya, and the delegation of the Philippine Ministry of Labor and Expatriates, which was represented by a number of officials from the Philippine Ministry of Labor.

The meeting discussed ways to settle the situation of Filipino workers in Libya and establish a mechanism to pay their financial dues. The meeting also reviewed areas of cooperation and coordination between the ministries of labor in the two countries.
