The First Deputy President of the High Council of State discusses with the German special envoy to Libya the mechanism for implementing and completing the electoral entitlement.

Tripoli, February 25, 2024 (LANA) - The First Deputy President of the High Council of State, Masoud Obaid, discussed today, Sunday, with the German Special Envoy to Libya, Mr. Christian Böck, the latest political developments taking place in the country, and the electoral laws issued by the 6+6 Committee and the mechanism for implementing them to achieve Electoral entitlement.

This came during the meeting held between them today at the Council’s headquarters in Tripoli, in the presence of the Deputy Head of the Mission, Sven Croset, the person responsible for the Libyan file at the German Foreign Ministry, Sarah Holt, and the Council’s Rapporteur, Belkacem Debres.

The German envoy expressed his country's readiness to help the political parties and bring their viewpoints closer together, praising at the same time the role of the High Council of State in order to reach elections as soon as possible.
