The President of the Presidential Council discusses with the German special envoy to Libya bilateral relations between the two countries.

Tripoli, February 25, 2024 (LANA) - Today, Sunday, at the Council’s headquarters, the President of the Presidential Council, “Mohamed Al-Manfi,” discussed with the German Special Envoy to Libya, “Christian Bock,” the person responsible for the Libyan file at the German Foreign Ministry, “Sarah Holt,” and the Chargé d’Affairs, “Sven Kroesbe,” the bilateral relations between the two countries, and developments in the political situation in Libya.

  The media office of the President of the Libyan Presidential Council stated that the meeting focused on pushing forward the political process in Libya to reach elections in which everyone participates without excluding anyone, in addition to the developments in the national reconciliation project adopted by the Council and preparing for the comprehensive forum expected at the end of April of this year.

The President of the Presidential Council appreciated Germany's positive role in Libya and its diplomatic and political efforts to achieve the outcomes of the two Berlin tracks with the aim of achieving peace in Libya and reaching elections as soon as possible.

For his part, the German Special Envoy to Libya praised the role of the President of the Presidential Council and his tireless efforts to bring viewpoints closer between the Libyan parties with the aim of ending the transitional stages and bringing the country to elections.
