New York, February 15, 2024 (LANA) - The French representative to the United Nations called on all Libyan parties to participate in good faith to support the United Nations process to reach a political settlement and form a unified government.
In her speech before the Security Council session on Libya today, Thursday, the French delegate expressed her country’s readiness to conduct dialogue between Libyans in coordination with local and international partners.
The French representative stressed the need to complete the implementation of the terms of the ceasefire agreement, especially the withdrawal of mercenaries and foreign forces from Libya.
She said that the security situation in Libya has become very fragile, the political vacuum increases this, and that foreign interventions lead to instability in the region, calling for elections to be held in all regions of Libya.
