Tripoli, December 8, 2023 (LANA) - The Minister of the Interior, Imad Trabelsi, issued instructions to the Ministry’s agencies to raise the level of maximum alert, in preparation for the expected weather fluctuations that most regions of Libya may witness in the coming days.
The Ministry explained on its Facebook page that “Trabelsi” issued instructions to the security agencies and departments and security directorates to harness all capabilities, form emergency rooms in coordination with mayors of municipalities, security, service and health agencies, raise the maximum level of preparedness, intensify the work of security patrols on main and secondary roads, direct citizens and extend a hand to help them during the next six days.
The National Center of Meteorology has warned that most regions of Libya will be affected by weather fluctuations accompanied by heavy rains that may lead to the flow of valleys and water accumulations in low places starting next Saturday.
