Tripoli, December 7, 2023 (LANA) - The Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, Abdul Hamid Al-Dabaiba, received the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Libya, Aidar Aganin, to follow up on a number of political and economic files between the two countries.

       The Russian ambassador assured the Prime Minister that the embassy is operating with its entire staff from Tripoli and is providing its services normally, expressing his country’s desire for economic and academic cooperation between the public and private sectors between the two countries and its support for the efforts of the UN envoy to Libya, Abdullah Batili, to hold elections according to fair laws.

      During the meeting, Al-Dabaiba touched on the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip, reiterating Libya's firm position on this aggression, expressing his satisfaction with the Russian position towards the Israeli aggression and calling for unified international position towards the Palestinian issue.
