The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announces the official reopening of the Ghadames border crossing with Algeria to the movement of citizens and commercial traffic.

Tripoli, December 6, 2023 (LANA) - It was announced in the Algerian capital today, Tuesday, that the Ghadames-Debdab border crossing between Libya and Algeria has been officially reopened to the movement of citizens and commercial traffic, according to what the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity said.

The Ministry explained in a statement on its Facebook page that the opening of the vital crossing between the two countries came after the completion of all technical, legal and regulatory procedures on both sides, and as a culmination of the joint efforts made by the Ministry’s Department of International Cooperation and the concerned authorities in Libya, which worked with all professionalism and joint cooperation with the Algerian institutions concerned to facilitate all procedures required to ensure the normal flow of movement through the crossing.
