Dabaiba announces at the cabinet meeting that his government welcomes Batili’s invitation to the five parties to meet regarding the political process.

Al-Zawiya, December 5, 2023 (LANA) - The Council of Ministers of the National Unity Government held its tenth regular meeting for the year 2023 today, Tuesday, at the oil refinery headquarters in the city of Al-Zawiya, headed by the representative of the Presidential Council, “Abdullah Al-Lafi.”

At the opening of the meeting, Al-Lafi welcomed the Prime Minister and members of the Council of Ministers, stressing the importance of all ministries and state institutions continuing their work in order to achieve reform, and development in various fields for the benefit of the citizen, recalling the necessity of continuing to work on developing and building the coastal road extending from Amsaad to Ras Ijdir as one of the important strategic projects.

According to the media office of the Presidential Council, the meeting discussed many files, foremost of which is the formation of the National Committee for Civil Aviation Security, the redevelopment of sewage stations in 24 Libyan cities, the implementation of maintenance work on the buildings of the College of Engineering in the city of Zawiya, and consideration of the decision to grant a monthly financial grant to the children of martyrs.

During the meeting, the Council of Ministers reviewed memorandums submitted by ministries and institutions on service projects being implemented in all municipalities.

During the meeting, the Head of the National Unity Government presented an overview of the projects implemented in the Greater Zawia municipalities, including 20 road projects of different lengths and the implementation of projects in the field of water and sanitation, in addition to the implementation of 3 projects in other areas of the municipality.

  Al-Dabaiba revealed the imminent opening of Al-Zawiya Central Hospital after maintaining and equipping it, completing the work, opening the clinics grouped in Al-Zawiya with its various departments, and starting to provide its services to the city and its nearby areas.

In his speech, Al-Dabaiba announced that the National Unity Government welcomed the invitation made by the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, which called on the five parties to meet regarding the political process, calling on the mission to involve all parties and for the electoral laws to be fair and implementable, calling for not allowing parallel paths that did not come with results that serve the political process in Libya, it has become a waste of time, according to him.

Al-Dabaiba thanked the international efforts that led to achieving a truce in the war waged by the Zionist enemy against the Palestinian people in Gaza, calling for its resumption and stopping the aggression against our people in Gaza.

For his part, the Minister of Finance announced during the meeting that the Libyan state had recovered $120 million from the loans that Libya had provided to a number of countries around the world.
