Tripoli, November 30, 2023 (LANA) - The Chargé d'Affairs of the US Embassy in Libya, Jeremy Berndt, discussed with the British Ambassador to Libya, Martin Longden, the invitation sent by the UN envoy Abdullah Batili to the main Libyan parties to meet for the political issues that stand before the elections.

Berndt said in a post published by the US Embassy on the (X) platform, “I was pleased to meet yesterday with the Ambassador of the United Kingdom, Martin Longden. We discussed the important invitation extended by the Special Representative of the Secretary-General Batili to the main institutional parties in Libya to meet in order to resolve the political issues that arise that stands in the way of elections and how the international community can best support this opportunity to put Libya on a path to long-term stability and prosperity for all its citizens.
