Dabaiba announces his readiness to participate in the meeting of political parties called for by Batili.

Tripoli, November 28, 2023 (LANA) - The Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, announced this evening, Tuesday, his readiness to participate in the meeting of the main political parties called for by the UN envoy, Abdullah Batili.

Al-Dabaiba said, in a recorded speech, “We are ready to participate and support any serious efforts to make the elections successful,” stressing his readiness to respond seriously to all proposals to expand confidence in the tasks assigned to the government in the electoral process.

Al-Dabaiba added that the UN envoy, Abdullah Batili, called for a meeting of what he described as the main parties to address the major problems in the electoral laws, calling for all discussions and dialogues to be focused on reaching a solid legal and constitutional basis, to ensure the success of the elections.

Al-Dabaiba explained that he had submitted a proposal to establish a supreme body to supervise the elections, with the participation of all parties, instead of extension plans to disrupt the elections, stressing that there is no room for side tracks and we will not allow new transitional stages.
