Al-Dbaiba follows up on the work of the committee charged with reviewing the mechanism for paying fuel.

Tripoli, November 27, 2023 (Lana): The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul-Hamid Al-Dbaiba, followed the work of the committee charged with reviewing the mechanism for paying fuel and its quantities transferred to distribution companies and studying its quantities transferred from the National Oil Corporation (NOC) to the General Electricity Company.

This came in a meeting on Sunday, in the presence of the Chairman and members of the committee, the director of Al-Bariqa Company, the director of the Follow-up Department of the Council of Ministers, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Directorate Affairs, the Ministers of Transportation, the Minister of State for Council of Ministers Affairs, and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy for Commercial Affairs.

The Head of the Committee provided a detailed report on the progress of the committee’s work and the files it achieved, as well as its meeting with authorities related to the fuel file in all aspects, highlighting the quantities of gasoline and diesel supplied from abroad during 2022 and discussing them with Al-Bariqa Company to determine the reasons for the increase in demand.

During the meeting, the PM stressed the need for the committee to discuss with all state institutions to ensure the implementation of its results, to address all the problems caused by the increase in financial allocations for the purchase of fuel, to set controls for the citizens to benefit from the quantities supplied, and to complete its work before the end of the current year.

The meeting reviewed the fuel distribution system designed to regulate and track fuel distribution, which contributes to controlling the quantities supplied and providing an appropriate service to citizens.
