Tripoli, October 3, 2023 (LANA) - The Public Prosecution ordered, on Tuesday, the precautionary detention of the Libyan ambassador to Belgium and Luxembourg, Amal Al-Jarari, pending investigation into financial and administrative corruption cases.
The Public Prosecutor’s Office explained in a statement that Al-Jarari faces charges of abusing administrative and financial work and achieving illegal material benefits. Unlawfully seizing public funds and causing harm to the public interest.
