Tripoli, September 24, 2023 (LANA) - The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Libya, Javier Larache, confirmed that his country will continue to work for humanitarian assistance in cities afflicted by floods, through teams specialized in psychological support for those affected, who lost their families and property, and another team specialized in epidemics to conduct the necessary analyzes of soil and drinking water, which will soon arrive in the city of Derna. .

This came when the representative of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, received the Spanish ambassador this Sunday morning.

The presidential media office reported that Al-Lafi praised the great role played by the Spanish rescue team since the disaster occurred, appreciating the efforts of the Kingdom of Spain to save as many victims as possible and help the families reach the bodies of their children.

During the meeting, Al-Lafi noted the importance of the international role in helping Libya, through specialized international experts, to assess the extent of the destruction, calling for unifying all efforts, through a unified administration, in dealing with the crisis.
