Washington, June 7, 2023 (Lana) The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya (CBL), Al-Sediq Al-Kabeer, met in Washington yesterday with US Assistant Secretary of the Treasury "Eric Meyer, US Special Envoy to Libya "Richard Norland, and representatives of the US Departments of Treasury and State.

The CBL stated on its Facebook page that the meeting, which was held at the headquarters of the US Treasury in Washington, discussed joint cooperation to combat money laundering and the financing of terrorism.

The meeting also discussed the results of the Article IV consultations with the International Monetary Fund and the efforts of the CBL in partnership with the Government of National Unity to invest in renewable energy and raise oil production rates.
