(LANA): Aqeela Saleh adjourns the parliament session that has been suspended for more than two years.

Benghazi, May 29, 2023 (LANA) - Today, Monday, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh, adjourned the suspended session of the House of Representatives to a quorum since March 10, 2021, in which the Government of National Unity gained confidence at that time.

The official spokesman for the House of Representatives, "Abdullah Blehaq," said, "The House of Representatives discussed many important files, then the session was adjourned to tomorrow, Tuesday, indicating that a number of organizational matters related to the workflow of the parliament were discussed in the closed part of the session, and full commitment was emphasized in accordance with the Constitutional Declaration and Law No. 4 of 2014''.

  It is noteworthy that the session of March 10, 2021, commented on a majority described as more than (120) deputies, which is the majority described for any constitutional or ministerial amendments or changes in sovereign positions, including the presidency of the government and the presidency of the House of Representatives.

According to parliamentary sources of the Libyan News Agency, after the Speaker of the Council, "Saleh", adjourned to today's session, Monday, to make any constitutional or ministerial amendments or changes in sovereign positions in any future session, this will require obtaining a majority described as more than (120) deputies, otherwise there will be sessions consultative.
