Tripoli, May 23, 2023 (LANA) - The Representative of the Presidential Council, "Musa Al-Koni", received today, Tuesday, in the Council's office in Tripoli, the Canadian Ambassador to Libya, "Isabelle Savred".
The Presidential Council stated that the ambassador affirmed her country's continued support for the efforts of the Presidential Council, which seeks to stabilize Libya, with the success of the national reconciliation file, and the holding of elections according to a constitutional rule, with the results of which all parties are satisfied.
For his part, "Al-Koni" affirmed the Presidency Council's keenness to hold the elections and the success of the national reconciliation file, stressing that Canada will have a prominent role in the stability of Libya in cooperation with countries interested in the Libyan issue.
During the meeting, which was held at the Council's office in Tripoli, they reviewed aspects of cooperation between Libya and Canada in many fields, the difficulties facing the political process, and the international and local efforts that seek to achieve stability in Libya.
