Tripoli 23 May 2023 (Lana): The Permanent Representative of Libya to the UN, Al-Taher Al-Sonni, met today in New York with the British representative to the Security Council, Barbara Woodward, and discussed the latest political developments in Libya.

"It was great to meet, Barbara Woodward; we discussed issues of mutual interest, especially the latest political developments in Libya and the efforts of the UN to reach consensus on the legal framework for national elections." Al-Sonni said in a tweet.

Al-Sonni also said that they discussed the recent events in Sudan and their impact on the region.
