Al-Lafi reviews, in a meeting with the French ambassador, the government's plan to support the elections

Tripoli, May 23, 2023 (LANA) - Minister of State for Communication and Political Affairs Walid Al-Lafi reviewed, in a meeting with the French Ambassador to Libya, Mustafa Maharaj, on Monday in Tripoli, the government of national unity's plan to support the upcoming elections.

"Our government" platform affiliated with the prime minister said that Al-Lafi presented, during a meeting in his office with the French ambassador, the government's steps to continue the momentum of the electoral process, motivate all institutions to prepare for it, and the prime minister's vision towards expanding the circle of participation in the implementation of elections and enhancing confidence.

The meeting discussed the government's plans to restructure the media sector in Libya, to move from the concept of government media to the national one, and what the government has accomplished in the government communication file, as well as the government's vision in establishing and developing the General Authority for Media Content Monitoring, and its important role in providing a safe media environment for holding elections.
