Al-Manqoush: The meeting of the military and security forces in Tripoli is a positive sign of the union of Libyans in order to hold elections.

Tripoli, March 27, 2023 (LANA) - The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the unity government, Naglaa Al-Manqoush, said today, Monday, that the meeting of the military and security forces in Tripoli is a positive indication of the ability of Libyans to unite in order to create conditions for holding elections.

Al-Manqoush added, in a tweet she posted on her Twitter account, that the efforts of the UN mission to bring points of view together coincide with our conviction in the ability of Libyans to produce a political and peaceful solution. She also continued, "We encourage the continuation of meetings between Libyans inside Libya."

Yesterday, Sunday, in the capital, Tripoli, the meeting of the 5 + 5 Joint Military Committee with the leaders of the military and security units in western, eastern and southern Libya ended.

The meeting, which was held in the Rixos halls complex, in the presence of the UN envoy, "Abdullah Batili," confirmed the rejection of foreign intervention and that the dialogue be only Libyan, and within Libyan territory.

It was also emphasized, according to the UN mission, the full commitment to everything that resulted from the first dialogue in Tunisia and the second in Tripoli, and the renunciation of fighting and violence in all its forms on the entire Libyan soil.
