Abdullah Al-Lafi discusses with the Dutch ambassador developments in the political scene in Libya.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, February 06, 2023 (LANA) - The deputy in the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, discussed with the Ambassador of the Netherlands to Libya, "Dolf Hockoning", developments in the Libyan political scene and ways to advance the political process, by emphasizing the holding of electoral benefits.
The Presidential Council stated on its Facebook page that the two sides reviewed during their meeting today, Monday, the results of the work of the preparatory forum for national reconciliation, and the steps taken in preparation for the convening of the inclusive conference.
The Dutch ambassador praised the role of the Presidency Council in the national reconciliation file, stressing the success of the preparatory forum for the inclusive conference, wishing to continue these steps, which would reach agreement on the constitutional basis for electoral entitlement.
For his part, Al-Lafi stressed the keenness of the Presidential Council to complete the electoral process that the Libyan people are waiting for, appreciating the efforts of the Netherlands, and the rest of the members of the working group emanating from the Berlin Dialogue on international and humanitarian law, in supporting the political process and the file of national reconciliation in Libya.
