 Tripoli, 6 February 2023 (Lana) The head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Abdoulaye Bathily announced on Monday that he will brief the Security Council on Libya on February 27, during which he will touch on the latest developments in Libya, including progress on the constitutional framework.

 Bathily said in a tweet that he had talks over the past two days with the heads of the High Council of State, Khaled Al-Meshri, and the House of Representatives, Ageela Saleh, and reiterated once again the importance of the two chambers' constructive engagement to finalize a constitutional framework that facilitates the holding of elections.

"I have notified the Speakers of the House of Representatives and the High Council of State that I will brief the UN Security Council on February 27 on the latest developments in Libya, including progress on the constitutional framework, Bathily said.
