Batili meets with the ambassadors of Sudan, Niger and Chad.

Tripoli, February 03, 2023 (LANA) - The Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Abdullah Batili, Thursday, discussed with the ambassadors of Sudan and Niger and the Chargé d'Affaires of Chad the repercussions of the ongoing crisis in Libya, and the security dynamics in neighboring countries.

During the meeting held at the mission's headquarters in Tripoli, Batili expressed the need for neighboring countries to increase their support for the United Nations Support Mission in Libya and the Joint Military Committee, in order to implement the action plan related to the withdrawal of foreign fighters and mercenaries, indicating that the ambassadors affirmed their support for Libya in this regard.

According to what was published by the UN mission on its website, "Batili" stressed solidarity and coordination of efforts, as they are a necessity for building stability and peace in Libya, and a lever for regional integration.
