Algeria, January 26, 2023 (LANA) - Algerian President Abdelmajid Tebboune stressed the need to take all necessary steps to overcome the political impasse in Libya through elections.

This came during President Abdelmajid Tebboune's meeting with the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Libya, "Abdullah Batili", on Wednesday, in the Algerian capital.

"Batili" said in a tweet on Twitter that Algerian President Abdelmajid Tebboune shared his views on the situation in Libya, stressing the importance of the elections being inclusive, transparent and safe, and the need to provide appropriate conditions for their successful conduct.

The Algerian president expressed his unwavering support for the efforts of the United Nations, stressing that stability in Libya is a regional need for all countries, especially those in its vicinity.
