December 3, 2022 (LANA) - The UN Security Council will hold a session on the 16th of this December on developments in the situation in Libya.

The session will include a briefing to the head of the UN mission, "Abdullah Batili," is his third since taking office last September.

The French website Africa Intelligence reported that the UN envoy to Libya, Abdallah Batili, invited the country's special envoys to a meeting in Tunis on December 8th.

The site stated that the envoys who will attend the meeting are the US envoy Richard Norland and the French Paul Soler, indicating that the agenda is to discuss the still hypothetical process of reunifying the military establishment.

The site indicated that Bathily raised this issue during his international tour in November that included Ankara, Doha and Abu Dhabi, and that the Tunis meeting will be held shortly before the Security Council convenes in mid-December to discuss the situation in Libya.
