The British ambassador condemns the attempt to prevent the Council of State from meeting in Tripoli

Sunday, November 20, 2022 (LANA) - The United Kingdom's ambassador to Libya, Caroline Hurndall, condemned the attempt to prevent the High Council of State from holding its sessions in the capital, Tripoli.

This came during a meeting with the head of the High Council of State, Khaled Al-Mashri, today, Monday, with the British ambassador, in the framework of discussing local and international efforts to resolve the political crisis in the country.

The media office of the President of the Council said that the ambassador expressed her country's refusal to use force in political disputes, stressing the need to preserve and expand the democratic space in Libya.
