The Chargé d'Affairs of the US Embassy in Libya and a delegation from the Government of National Unity agree that Libya's revenues belong to all its people and must be distributed transparently and with accountability.

Tripoli, October 1, 2022 (LANA) - The US Embassy in Libya agreed with a delegation from the Government of National Unity that the revenues of Libya belong to all its people and must be distributed transparently and in the framework of accountability.

        It came during a meeting that brought together the Chargé d'Affairs of the Embassy "Ordman" yesterday Friday with a delegation from the National Unity Government headed by Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs "Adel Jumaa". The talks discussed the importance of enhancing financial transparency and fighting corruption.

  The US embassy said in a tweet posted on its Twitter account, "The United States looks forward to building on these talks, which it described as important."
