Tripoli, September 21, 2022 (LANA) - The Ministry of Interior participated in the sixth Interpol meeting of police chiefs in the Middle East and North Africa in Lyon, France.

 The head of the delegation, the Undersecretary for the Directorates Affairs, Major General Bashir Al-Amin, delivered a speech at the sixth Interpol meeting, in which he spoke about the experiences of the Libyan state in combating smuggling crimes and combating terrorism and drugs.

The meeting, which brought together police chiefs from 20 countries, discussed issues related to border security, counter-terrorism and drug trafficking, in addition to discussing areas in which INTERPOL's policing initiatives could add value through increased exchange and analysis of data among members of the organization.
