Al-Koni: The absence of the position of head of state in Libya so far has weakened the country in front of the international community.

Tripoli, June 26, 2022 (LANA) - Representative of the Presidential Council, Musa al-Koni, expressed hope that the expected consultations in Geneva between the two presidencies of the House of Representatives and the state would reach consensus on the constitutional base, for the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections, and to give the Libyan people the right to say their word through the ballot boxes. , and elects a representative, and thus ends all political bodies that have been in conflict for a long time and have long struggled for power.

In his speech during his attendance at the signing ceremony of the memorandum of understanding between the High National Elections Commission and the Libyan Workers Union, Al-Koni reiterated the Presidential Council's commitment to respond to the people's expectations to set an early date for the parliamentary and presidential elections, explaining that his presence and participation in this event is to confirm the faith and the presidential progress in the direction of consolidating This electoral entitlement, and his responsibility to reach the elections and make them a fait accompli, fulfill the citizen’s demand for change for the better, and elect someone to lead the state towards the establishment of Libya, the well-being that everyone is waiting for.

In his speech, Al-Koni pointed out that the absence of the position of head of state in Libya so far has weakened the state in front of the international community, and we need at this stage for the people to choose one president, who has in his hands the decisive power derived from the people, to establish the desired state.
