Tunis, 13 April 2016(Lana) The Deputy Head of Presidential Council
of the National Accord Government Musa Al Kone has said that Libya's
stability was vital both for Libyans and the neighboring states.
In remarks at the opening of the International Support for Libya
conference held here on Tuesday, Al Kone highlighted the support the
Presidential Council was accorded by the Libya public when it arrived
in Tripoli.
But he said he feared the public support may fade away, if the
National Accord Government failed to respond to the urgent needs of
the people including security, medical services and others.
He stressed the need for coordination between the NAG and those
who support it to implement the humanitarian programme planned by the
UN which included 174 projects.
On his part the Director of Middle East and North Africa at the
British Foreign Ministry Christian Toner said this meeting, which
followed the London meeting held on October 19,2015, is important
given the timing when the NAG has gained international support.'
The major Countries have pledged to offer financial support for
the National Accord Government to enable it to confront the terrorist
organisation Da'esh.
