NSG briefs GNC on political security and economic state of affairs in country .

\nTripoli, 06.01.2014(Lana) National Salvation Government briefed the General National Congress on the political security and economic state of affairs in the country.\nGNC spokesman, Omar Hamidan underlined in a press conference Tuesday the briefing focused on 6 themes including the budget and state finance.\nHamidan explained that the GNC listened to NSG view point on revenues and real problem it is facing regarding the budget due to decline of oil production from over one million to 40,000 barrels per day, as well as decline of oil prices.\nHamidan said such developments caused high budget deficit, increased expenditure due to war.\nHe revealed that such conditions causes real problem to the government which viewed to pursue an austerity measures and recommended some measures such as complying with the National Number, postpone some allowance and salary increase as well as starting lifting subsidies on fuel and goods.\nOn political theme, Hamidan said the government briefed the GNC on its external role, contacts with states and international organizations especially concerning the political crisis which is an issue of legitimacy and attempts by some illegitimate parties to usurp legitimacy.\nOn security theme Hamidan explained, \"GNC listened to view point of Chief of General Staff and head of intelligence and attacks on civilians and role of external forces and their intelligence in these attacks.\nHamidan underlined the media role which must be played by the GNC and government to brief the public on the facts and confront lies and slanders and highlight our just cause, cause ov revolutionaries and legitimacy.\nGNC spokesman pointed out that government and GNC discussed the legislation and legislation inherited from the former regime.\n Hamidan said GNC reviewed with the government it\'s discussions with local government committee, displaced crisis, hospitals and injured.\nHe stressed that GNC recommended the government of importance of permanent communication with committees set up by GNC to implement programmes and get out of the crisis.\n=Lana=
