Tunisian Ambassador Inspects Consulate in Benghazi

Benghazi, 24 February 2014(LANA) Tunisian Ambassador Redha Abu Kadi on Sunday paid a visit to the Tunisian Consulate in Benghazi which was target of a rocket which landed near it.\n LANA correspondent reported that the Ambassador had a meeting with the staff of the consulate, who said the incident would not deter them from pursuing their work at the consulate.\n The Ambassador said in statement to LANA the attack on the Consulate would not impact the historical relations between Libya and Tunisia, saying authorities in both countries were working together to strengthen ties and upgrade exchange between the two countries.\n He noted that the Tunisian Foreign Minister has contacted his Libyan counterpart to offer condolences for the victims of the Libyan plane which crashed in Tunisia killing 11 people on board.\n The Ambassador congratulated the Libyan people for the success of the elections of the Constituent Committee of the constitution.\n We are very optimistic that a better future is awaiting the people in Libya.\n =LANA= \n
