Attorney Azza Al-Maghhour: February committee started drafting Constitutional amendments

\nTripoli, 23.02.2014 (Lana) February Committee formed by a GNC resolution began making a proposal on amendment of the Constitutional Declaration and draft General Elections Law in the draft constitutional amendment.\nAttorney Azza Al-Maghhour, rapporteur of the committee told Lana that members of the committee reached a consensus during their second meeting to work as one team to put in place a constitutional declaration proposal and draft general elections law.\nShe said the meeting defined clearly the tasks of the committee as spelled out in clause 11 of the 6th Constitutional Declaration and the resolution setting up the committee that is to present a proposal to ensure the creation of head of state, a parliament, and a government based on separation of powers principle and their balance besides drafting elections law both presidential and parliamentary.\nAttorney Azza Al-Maghhour pointed out that the committee took some measures ensuring the creation of a website for transparency and feedback.\n=Lana=\n
