Second Deputy President of the High Council of State Discusses Latest Political Developments with Council Committees

Tripoli, November 8, 2026 (LANA) – Second Deputy President of the High Council of State, Omar Boushah, held an expanded meeting today, Sunday, with members of the Council’s Legal Committee, Political Committee, and the 6+6 Joint Committee tasked with completing and reviewing electoral laws.

The meeting, held at the Council’s headquarters in Tripoli, addressed the latest political developments in the country and developments in the political process. Discussions also focused on the latest understandings and political tracks, as well as mechanisms for addressing current challenges in a manner that contributes to advancing efforts to achieve consensus among the relevant parties and institutions.

The meeting also featured an exchange of views and perspectives on several issues related to the current political phase and ways to coordinate positions among the relevant committees of the High Council of State.
